I'm crazy about passion fruit!!

So, I think I might share with you this nice recipe!

Ingredients:

 1  can of condensed milk

 1 can of whipping cream

1  glass of passion fruit juice

(you can use the condensed milk can to measure it)

1 envelope of savorless powdered gellatin

3  whipped egg whites

Put all the liquid ingredients in a mixer, including the gellatin disolved in

two table spoons of hot water and mix everything for about 5 minutes.

Then add  the egg whites gently.

Take the mousse into the fridge until it becomes  solid.

Better prepare it the day before!

You can make this mousse changing the passion fruit juice for

a goava one. It will be great as well!!

Some facts about this amazing fruit:

The origin of the passion fruit plant is unknown, but it is believed to be

native to Brazil where 16th Century Spanish Catholics named it “Flor de las

cinco llagas” or “flower of the five wounds” after its distinctive and beautiful

purple flower. Today, about 400 years later, passion fruit is grown nearly
everywhere in the tropics and its known by a variety of different names.

Its common name is "Maracuya" in Ecuador and "Maracujá" in Brazil,

"Parcha" in Venezuela, "Lilikoi" in Hawaii, and "Chinola" or "Parchita" in

Puerto Rico. According to Britannica on line, the market for fresh fruit is

almost nonexistent in the U.S. In Brazil however, fresh passion fruit, with

its unique, intense and aromatic flavor is very popular. We use the fruit in

fresh juices,  desserts, sauces and sorbets!
