~ WL's Christmas ~

 

 

 

Christmas Cake

Ingredients:

1 cup of butter

3 cups of sugar (brown if it is possible)

3 cups of flour

1 cup of milk

2 table spoons of powdered chocolate

6 eggs

½ pound of raisins

½ of prums

1 table spoon of baking powder

3 slices of dried pineapples

½ pound of nut cashew

½ cup of Wine Port

½ cup of cherries (not fresh, use the ones canned in a juice)

 

 

 

 

- Cut the dried fruits into tiny pieces 

- Beat thourougly  butter and sugar.

- Add milk and  cherrie's juice 

- Add prums (check if the prums are soft if not, moisten them with

 boiling water),  pineapples,  raisins,  nuts and cherries

- Add the powdered chocolate, flour, baking powder and  Wine Port.

- Whip the egg whites

- Add  yolks gently to whites

- Sprinkle the raisins with a little flour and add them to the mixture.

 

 

 

Put the mixture in a greased and floured pan and bake it for

 about one hour. You can use Cognac instead of using Wine Port!
